When is a Stocking Not a Stocking?

Have I told you recently how much I love Stampin' Up! products? With a little imagination a stamp designed for one purpose transforms into something entirely different! Take the Stitched Stockings set - there are 5 different stocking stamps, heel/toe/cuff pieces, & a little hanger stamp to create awesome Christmas cards and tags...

At Convention demonstrators were shown that by cutting off the cuff and moving it down a little you get the cutest baby booties...

And Demonstrator Jackie Topa was the creative person who first posted this design...

Stocking, Bootie, or Horse, what will you create? The Stitched Stockings set is available on page 34 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and there is even a coordinating Stocking Builder Punch to make the cutting a snap (er, punch)!

I have a space available for you to join me at the Christmas Stamp-A-Stack this Saturday. Call me right away to reserve your place at the table and get this stamp set and punch in your hands!

Gently Falling

I can't seem to get enough of the Gently Falling stamp set of leaves and I am loving the Spice Cake designers series paper and fabric available in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Today's card is the gift I am including in my Stamper's 10 Club orders this month.
The leaf is stamped in Versamark ink on Glossy White card stock and heat embossed with the new Pewter embossing powder. I used my Aqua Painter and Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive re-inkers to color the leaves before cutting them out. The background stamped leaves and greeting are stamped in More Mustard on Very Vanilla card stock.

My Fall Wreath

On page 6 of the Holiday Mini is a beautiful picture of a wreath introducing the Simply Scored. I had a lot of fun creating my version...
I used strips of the Spice Cake designers series paper along with Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz card stock cut in widths of 1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75" & 2". For the larger sizes two 12" DSP or, 11.5" CS, strips are attached end-to-end with Sticky Strip after scoring. It does take a lot of scoring at every 1/8" but the Simply Scored makes it so easy! Folded rosettes are glued to 1.25" or 1.75" circles of CS using Crystal Effects and weighted down for drying time. I found that I had some container lids the larger rosettes fit into perfectly to keep them in the correct shape while drying. Embellish to your heart's desire and attach to a wreath form with a hot glue gun. I cut about a 10" circle from chipboard weight backing of a package of Specialty Designer Series Paper. Enjoy!

Happy September!!!

Can you believe it? September is here and that means you can now order from the Holiday Mini Catalog!
If you didn't receive a copy from me in the mail you can view this beautiful catalog HERE

I thought I would first show you some fall projects made with the Spice Cake product suite and jump into Christmas in a few days.
I bought this bag at convention. It was specially made with the Designer Fabric to hold...
Our new Simply Scored! Stampin' Up! thought of everything when designing this. Notice the score tracks every 1/8"? The rulers read top to bottom, left to right AND out from a zero center. The Place Markers are simply genius and the double ended Stylus glides smoothly over the paper without tearing!
I used both the Designer Series paper and fabric to cover this notebook and customize the pen & binder clip.
Finally, here is a fall card. I used stripes of fabric instead of ribbon, the leaf and acorn stamps are in the new Gently Falling set and Warmest of Wishes comes in the stamp set of the same name available to hostesses. I'm still clinging to summer but the Spice Cake Suite is really helping me make the transition to fall.
