Women's Retreat - Downton Abbey Style

I have just returned from a fabulous Women's retreat and have some fun decorations/gifts that I prepared for the group. I am so happy that I get to use my love of paper-crafting to add special touches to the weekend of teaching & worship with my friends.

One of the things we like to do at our retreat is leave blessing notes for each other. I made this wall of "mailboxes" to resemble the servant's bells in the downstairs of Downton Abbey. It tied in with our theme that all Believers have individual gifts given by the Holy Spirit to be used in service to the whole body.

That's a lot of roses! 85 to be exact. These gifts of tea were placed at each place setting for our formal dinner on Saturday night.

Some ladies went all out on their attire for the evening...

A parting gift of jam all wrapped up pretty.

Happy New Year!

The 2015 Occasions Catalog goes live on Tuesday, January 6th and this year Sale-a-bration begins the same day!!!

This is the first card I made with my new supplies. It uses the Crazy About You stamp set which has 2 flower stamps, the leaf stamp and 30 sentiments. WOW!  The new Hello You thinlits has 4 dies and did you notice the background? That is the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. It comes in white. White paper with a glossy white pattern. I used an Aqua Painter with Pistachio Pudding Ink to reveal the pattern. You can use any color to reveal the 6 different patterns. It is SO cool!

Here is a close-up. The Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper is just one of the amazing choices in the Sale-a-bration brochure. January 6th - March 31st you choose 1 FREE Sale-a-bration item with every $50 purchase (before tax & shipping).

If you haven't received the new catalogs in the mail please contact me for your copies. Check back here on Tuesday to view the PDF versions!

Inking Everything Gift Packaging

Welcome to the Inking Everything Gift Packaging Blog Hop! I am so excited that you are here! We hope you are inspired by our designs.

My projects today feature the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit.

The supplies in this kit make 26 stars in 6 sizes and they are beautiful and fun to use as decor pieces in your home this Christmas Season. I love them and to expand their usefulness I have come up with ways to make them into gift bags and boxes.

138104 Many Merry Stars $25.95!

This finished star is approximately 7" across so I thought a 3"x3" gift card would be the perfect size to complete the package.

There are not only stars in this kit. The tag and gold bakers twine are included too. There are also banners, a larger tag and silver sequins! Did I mention that I love this kit?

I have another special gift bag made with the Many Merry Stars kit over on my Facebook page

Your next stop on this hop is with the very talented Penny Smiley of StampsnSmiles

If you missed Jen Guarino's project you can go back and see it here

I invite you to shop for your Stampin' Up! supplies in my online store if you don't have a demonstrator you already create with. We are having an online extravaganza all week and you can save 20%-50% on select items!
