Inlaid Embossing Technique

Have you seen this fun technique? It is called Inlaid Embossing and can be done in a couple of different ways. On the circle card I punched several sizes of circles in bright, fun colors, glued them in place on the whisper white card stock and then ran the whole thing through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Textured Impressions folder. The result is a quilted effect and the individual circles look like they were printed on the white background. Very cool! For the flowered card I stamped the background flowers and stem on the white card stock before using the same Square Lattice folder and the Big Shot for a pretty fabric look...
Circles were punched from Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and Regal Rose card stock to make this fun Birthday Card. Happy Birthday Wishes was stamped in Pacific Point ink, punched with the Modern Label punch, and adhered to the card with Tempting Turquoise brads.
I love how this card turned out and the ladies at Chrystal's workshop last weekend had a wonderful time recreating it and taking their own home with them. The colors used here were Melon Mambo ink for the flowers with accents of Pear Pizzazz. The Build a Blossom stamp set and coordinating Blossom Petals punch were also used.
