Women's Retreat - Downton Abbey Style

I have just returned from a fabulous Women's retreat and have some fun decorations/gifts that I prepared for the group. I am so happy that I get to use my love of paper-crafting to add special touches to the weekend of teaching & worship with my friends.

One of the things we like to do at our retreat is leave blessing notes for each other. I made this wall of "mailboxes" to resemble the servant's bells in the downstairs of Downton Abbey. It tied in with our theme that all Believers have individual gifts given by the Holy Spirit to be used in service to the whole body.

That's a lot of roses! 85 to be exact. These gifts of tea were placed at each place setting for our formal dinner on Saturday night.

Some ladies went all out on their attire for the evening...

Stampin' Up! Crazy About You

This is the first card I made with my new supplies. It uses the Crazy About You stamp set which has 2 flower stamps, the leaf stamp and 30 sentiments. WOW!  The new Hello You thinlits has 4 dies and did you notice the background? That is the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. It comes in white. White paper with a glossy white pattern. I used an Aqua Painter with Pistachio Pudding Ink to reveal the pattern. You can use any color to reveal the 6 different patterns. It is SO cool!
