New Catalog Sneak-Peek and Weekly Deals

Last night I was able to attend the Catalog Premiere for the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog. It was so much fun! Demonstrators gathered in 39 movie theaters across North America while more were at the live event in Long Beach, CA. The new catalog was presented to us on the big screen by Shelli Gardner and fabulous presenters from the Stampin' Up! home office.

These are the members of my team who were able to attend with me.

 Of course, I had a little gift for them.

If you look closely you will see many new items.

April Paper Pumpkin

Wow! Was this kit ever packed full of goodness! A couple of months ago the "new & improved" Paper Pumpkin kits began to ship. I had placed my subscription on hold and after seeing what I was missing, I decided it was time to get them coming again. I am really glad I did! The kits now come with Photopolymer Stamps, that cling and stamp fabulously by the way, and more supplies than ever.

This is what the April instructions guided me to make...

It is the cutest 4" frame. I am keeping mine. It was meant to be a gift and came with stamps to make "Happy Mother's Day" and "For You" gift tags as well as cardstock scored for packaging but my Mom is a Paper Pumpkin subscriber so she gets to create her own. Ha!

Here is what I did with some of the additional supplies...

I cut the included patterned cardstock to make an additional 4" x 4" insert for the frame. For this I did add the Paper Doily and Vivid Vases stamp. So cute!!

Then I pulled out 2 Note Cards and Envelopes...

This is what I ended up with...

I still have 8 Gift Tags, 10 small hearts, a few strips of patterned Card Stock, Thread and Ribbon leftover!

Lots of Boxes

This last week I was busy making boxes. 120 of them. Yesterday was the annual Women's Easter Brunch for the ladies at my church. It is always a fun and meaningful event to begin this Holy Week.

I started by cutting card stock and Designer Series Paper into 6" x 6" squares and used the Envelope Punch Board to punch & score each piece. I got the instructions from UK Demonstrator, Sam Donald

Each table is decorated by the table hostess with her own china and glassware. Here are just a few of them...

Each table hostess usually adds a small favor for her guests. Look what I got! This was actually made by my friend Hayley who is an avid scrapbooker and paper crafter, she is also blind. Yes, blind. She was discussing making these with our hostess Jan a few weeks ago at the end of our Bible Study and turned toward where I had been sitting to ask if the scarf she was wearing was Tempting Turquoise! It was! Others at the table laughed, especially when I told her that our tablecloth was Daffodil Delight. :) Her dear husband assists her with final assembly and Jan added some yummy candies. It is a beautiful box.
